TEACHING PRONUNCIATION

Pronunciation involves far more than individual sounds. Word stress, sentence stress, intonation, and word linking all influence the sound of spoken English , but improving pronunciation will boost self esteem and facilitate communication.

One of the major obstacles learners have to overcome in learning to speak is the anxiety generated over  the risks of blurting things out that are wrong, stupid, or incomprehensible,, this is common in the beginners and intermediate learners,  we must help are students to develop there knowledge by providing authentic practice that prepares students for real-life communication situations., develop the ability to produce grammatically correct, logically connected sentences that are appropriate to specific contexts, and to do so using acceptable (that is, comprehensible) pronunciation.
